Hotel Cala Luna - Cala Gonone

Enjoyed an outstanding stay at the Hotel Cala Luna. Check-in was smooth and easy. The staff was welcoming and very helpful despite the late hour in which I arrived. The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the street was so nice to enjoy. The electric storm blinds really helped with noise and light. The room was cleaned each day to my satisfaction. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff was very helpful and friendly in fetching coffee and other requests. The skybar is so delightful. What a perfect place to enjoy drinks with friends, read a book, or catch up on emails. The service was outstanding and the daily free snacks were a welcomed treat. The location is perfect for walks to restaurants and the harbor. Highly recommended.

Great sea view from our room. This hotel was very unique as it was so close to sea, harbour, shops, and local beaches. Great location. Panoramic view from our room and rooftop bar. Staff were very helpful when we got mosquito bite and sought help. People wear masks in common areas. Hotel restaurant looks over the sea and served great food. Coffee was amazing! Breakfast is buffet style and guests were told to wear plastic gloves and made own plates from buffet. This covid measure was different from other hotels we stayed in Sardinia as they instead usually had a dedicated staff making plates for guests at breakfast buffet and didn't allow guests to do it themselves. But overall, we still felt safe and this hotel felt clean. We could borrow umbrellas and beach chairs for free. We had an amazing time and this hotel exceeded expectations. Thank you so much. :)

Seafront hotel, we didn't stay overnight, but we had the continental buffet breakfast at a cost of €12 per person. Excellent and plentiful, sweet and savory, with also seasonal and local fruit. Special requests are charged separately (see dedicated menu). There are outdoor and indoor tables. Excellent and simple management of anticovid measures: disinfectant gel for hands and gloves. The hotel Cala Luna supports the Cala Gonone aquarium, it is also possible to book the aquarium room. We visited also the rooftop sky bar - the real highlight of the hotel - for a couple of drinks: the view is lovely and romantic. You are greeted with a smile and the overall service is great. The cocktail menu is full of proposals, including non-alcoholic ones, a free buffet is included.

Three star hotel acts like a four star. New/clean/nice art, excellent breakfast with plenty of choices if you are staying a few days (if you stay a week, any breakfast buffet will seem limited so ignore those reviews that complain...the breakfast was terrific- my spouse and two teens enjoyed it). Room was small but functional and with a beautiful view. The deck up top is gorgeous. I just wish we had more time to stay longer. Wonderful friendly staff. Very happy I booked here and would stay again. For Sardinia, it’s good quality for decent price (things are more expensive on islands always).
